Donald Collier

Mr. Donald Collier, 63, of Hope, died Wednesday, September 24, 2003, in Medical Park Hospital.

He was born October 30, 2003, in Hempstead County, to Royce and Annie Mae Arnold Collier.

He was owner/operator of Collier Excavating and Collier Trucking of Hope. He attended Anderson Baptist Church in Spring Hill, and was an Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Frances Thompson.

His survivors include: his wife of 44 years, Janie Porterfield Collier of Hope; one son, Gary Collier and Keri of Hope; one daughter, Donna Nicholson and Jody of Hope; one sister, Margie McWhorter of Fate, Tex.; and four grandchildren, Kirby Collier, Chandler Collier, Joanna Claire Collier, and Coyt Nicholson.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2003, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope, with Rev. William Tyler officiating. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Family received friends Friday, September 26, 2003, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
