William Monk

William Lee Monk, 63, of Pasadena, Tex., passed away Sunday, September 14, 2003.

He was born January 1, 1940, in Prescott to Harvey and Jessie (Billingsley) Monk.

He worked for Brown and Root as a pipe welder for 34 years, where he made many lifetime friends.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sue Griffin Monk, born in Hope; two sisters, Ora Mae McKamie and husband, Otis, of Hope and Elsie Faye Wells and husband, Gene, of El Dorado; three sons, William Thomas (Bill) Monk and wife, Mitzi, Scott Alan Monk, and George Gregory (Greg) Monk; six grandchildren, Ashleigh, Shelby, Haley, Kelsey, Kylie, and Kolby; and his beloved dog, Aggie.

William enjoyed hard work, liked his cows, and dearly loved his grandchildren.

Visitation was Tuesday, September 16, 2003 from 5-8 p.m. at Pasadena Funeral Chapel.

Graveside services were Wednesday, September 17, 2003, at Grand View Cemetery, with the procession leaving the Pasadena Funeral Chapel at 1:30 p.m.
