Pauline HairstonPublished Wednesday, September 24, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayunePauline Benton Hairston of Houston, Tex., passed away September 11. She was born in Nevada County on October 28, 1915. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Hairston, one sister, Mary Sporer and four brothers, John, Bill, Buster and Brooks. She is survived by three sisters, Virginia Broyles, Linda Riley of Houston and Emily Benton of Prescott; two brothers, Lowell Benton of Houston and Davis Benton of Cale.
