Ruth KirkPublished Wednesday, September 10, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Ruth Kirk, 81, of Prescott, died Friday, September 5, 2003, at her home. She was born January 23, 1922, in Nevada County to Dave and Annie Crouse Wicker. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Nazarene Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Kirk. Her survivors include: one son, Jimmy Don Kirk and Judy of Prescott; one daughter, Barbara Owens of Prescott; two sisters, Marzelle Kirk of Prescott and Vera Mae Revis of Benton; one granddaughter, Nacona Thomas and Buddy of Boni Fay, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Sam, Tracy, and Cheyenne Thomas of Boni Fay; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were 2 p.m., Monday, September 8, 2003, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Rev. Phillip Hull officiating. Burial followed in Ebenezer Cemetery in Bluff City. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends Sunday, September 7, 2003, from 2-4 p.m. at the Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
