Enda FlukePublished Wednesday, September 10, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneEdna Lambert Fluke, 90, a native of Nevada County, died Wednesday, Sep. 3, 2003, in Texas. Her graveside service was at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 6, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, Texas. She was born Oct. 8, 1912, in Sutton, to the Rev. Albert and Loretta Hitt Lambert. She was a 1921 graduate of Laneburg School, where she played on the girls' basketball team. During her long life she lived in many parts of Arkansas, in addition to Detroit and San Francisco, before spending her last 50 years in Texas. During World War II she was an electrical parts assembler at the Ford Motor Co. Willow Run Bomber Plant in Dearborn, MI. She also sold and modeled clothing in Detroit and Fort Worth. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and two sisters; and by George Fluke, her husband of 50 years. She is survived by her son Ricky of Fort Worth, Texas, and many nieces and nephews, including Mark Lambert of Sutton, Lana Carlton and Joe Lambert of Rosston, Tony Lambert of Prescott, Janice Faulkner of Emmet, and Carol, Greg, Jenny Lou, Larry, Shirley, and William of Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana. She was always kind to animals, and is especially missed by Wally, her American Eskimo Dog.
