Opal May

Mrs. Opal L. May, 86, of Hope, died Saturday, August 23, 2003, in Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.

She was born November 19, 1917, in Bodcaw, to George W. and Mattie M. Tye Huckabee.

She was a homemaker and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Hope.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert C. May; three brothers, Hollis, John, and Junius Huckabee; and one sister, May Huckabee.

Her survivors include: one son, Jim May and Bonnie of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two grandchildren, Michelle Ward of Washington and Michael May of Maryland; three great-grandchildren, Kylie May, Jill May and Delanie May, all of Maryland.

Graveside services were 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2003, at Union Cemetery in Bodcaw, with Rev. Jay Pollan officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Family received friends Monday, August 25, 2003, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
