James TaylorPublished Wednesday, August 27, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneJames E. Taylor, 63, of Bayou George passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 14, 2003. He has been a resident of Bayou George since moving here from Prescott in 1997. He was a very generous man who was loved and respected by all who knew him. During his lifetime, he traveled throughout the United States making friends wherever he went and was known for his storytelling. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha; parents and a step-daughter, Stephanie Stallons. Mr. Taylor is survived by his loving sons, James A. Taylor of Callaway and Lisa and Charles Taylor and Sharon, all of New York; beloved sister, Joann Ashley of Callaway, Fla.; one brother, Ezra C. Taylor and his wife, Sue of West Virginia; granddaughters, Amanda Taylor and Samantha Taylor; step-children, Larry Carter and his wife Hillary of Kentucky, Cindy Blalock and Robbie Carter; nieces, Anna Kasprowiez, Danielle Ashley, and Tammy Phillips; nephews, Steven Taylor, and Eric Ashley. Funeral services were 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2003, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Cecil Jackson officiating. Burial was in Prescott. The family received friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, August 19, 2003, from 6-8 p.m. Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2403 Harrison Ave., 763-4694. Burial was in Caney Cemetery in Caney.
