Barbara SmelserPublished Wednesday, August 6, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneBarbara Jean Smelser, of Prescott, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2003. She was born on May 21, 1946, in Eudora. She was the daughter of James Hubbard and Vera Lucille (White) Evans. She worked as a Receiving Clerk for Firestone Building Products and was a member of the Bluff City Baptist Church. Her survivors include: one son, Johnny Smelser of Waldo; two sisters, Betty Fincher and Sue Bustion, both of Waldo; and a companion, David Poechhacker of Prescott. Funeral services are Saturday, August 2, 2003, at 10 a.m. at the Shackleford Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Bro. Don Coon officiating.
