Blood Drive At Baptist Church April 13Published Wednesday, April 7, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Great Ozarks-Arkansas Region of American Red Cross Blood Services and the Prescott community will sponsor a blood drive on Tuesday, April 13, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. The public is encouraged to participate in the drive, which will be held at Central Baptist Church, located at 600 E. Second South. All donors will receive a commemorative Red Cross T- shirt. In this country, every two seconds someone needs a blood transfusion. The Red Cross works to avoid both shortages of blood and excesses in the supply by carefully planning blood drives and by scheduling donors for fixed locations. Currently, only about 5% of the eligible production donates blood. Your help is asked so the American Red Cross is ensured there is always an adequate supply of blood available for those who need it. If you are at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and are in general good health, you could help give up to three people a second chance at life. If you have questions concerning blood donations, contact American Red Cross Blood Services at 1-800-448-3543. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
