Fred KovalovskyPublished Wednesday, July 16, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Fred A. Kovalovsky, 87, of Prescott, died Friday, July 4, 2003, at his home. He was born May 30, 1916, in Ford City, Penn. to Philip (Felip) and Kristina Marie Blahovic Kovalovsky. He was a retired tool and dye hardener with 35= years for International Harvester in Chicago. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union Region 4-Local 1301. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth R. Kovalovsky, who died in 1989 and by one granddaughter, Ruthann Hazel Tippitt. Survivors include: two sons, Kevin Kovalovsky of Algonquin, Ill. and Philip Kovalovsky of Spring Grove, Ill.; one daughter, Kris Tippitt of Prescott; one brother, Benjamin Robert Kovalovsky and Gertie of Ford City, Penn.; one sister, Wilhelmina (Billie) Kovalovsky Kalnik of Ford City, Penn.; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott with Rev. Robin Nygaard officiating. Burial followed Friday, July 11, 2003, in Beverly Cemetery in Blue Island, Ill. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
