Shaver arrested for allegedly growing marijuanaBY AUTUMN PENNINGTONPublished Wednesday, July 16, 2003 in the Gurdon Times On July 6, 2003, Clark County Sheriff's Office received a phone call from an unknown caller stating they had reason to believe William Eric Shaver was growing marijuana plants at his residence in Beirne. Representatives of Group 6 Narcotics and two Clark County Sheriff's deputies went to the residence where they found Shaver, his wife and a minor child. Upon arriving at the residence officer's found several marijuana plants growing in pots under Shaver's carport. With permission from Shaver to search the property, officer's found more plants growing inside the residence as well as in the yard area.
