Lennie SmithPublished Wednesday, July 9, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneLennie Belle Smith, passed from this life on July 1, 2003, in Tampa, Fla. She was born July 4, 1915, to Matt and Olar Bumpers Sullivan. Ms. Smith was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hope and a retired seamstress with Hancock Fabrics. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Smith; one brother, Jerry Sullivan; and two sisters, Ruby Jack Padgett and Medge Curry. Survivors include: one daughter, Carmon Smith Hardee of Tampa; one brother, George Sullivan, Jr. of Prescott; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation was Saturday, July 5, 2003, from 1-3 p.m. at Herndon Funeral Home Chapel. Services followed at 3 p.m. with interment at Mouser Cemetery in Hope under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home.
