Edgar JohnsonPublished Wednesday, July 2, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Edgar Wayne Johnson, 58, of Hope, formerly of Prescott, died Friday, June 27, 2003, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Hot Springs, after a lengthy illness. He was born January 27, 1945, in Nevada County, to Lee and Alice Gill Johnson. He was a truck driver, construction worker, heavy equipment operator and former wrecker driver for Ed Roberts Wrecker Service. He was a volunteer fireman and a member of the Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers, Robert and Sammy Johnson. His survivors include: his son, Jeffrey Wayne Johnson of Hot Springs; his daughter, Sherry Darlene Johnson Barlow and Robert William Barlow of Searcy; his brother, Johnny Lee Johnson of Hope; his grandchildren, Jennifer Nicole Barlow and Trisha Breighann Barlow. Graveside services were 2 p.m., Sunday, June 29, 2003, at Piney Grove Cemetery, Boughton Community, Nevada County, with Rev. S. Joseph Geno officiating. Burial followed.
