Edgar Johnson

Mr. Edgar Wayne Johnson, 58, of Hope, formerly of Prescott, died Friday, June 27, 2003, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Hot Springs, after a lengthy illness.

He was born January 27, 1945, in Nevada County, to Lee and Alice Gill Johnson.

He was a truck driver, construction worker, heavy equipment operator and former wrecker driver for Ed Roberts Wrecker Service. He was a volunteer fireman and a member of the Army National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers, Robert and Sammy Johnson.

His survivors include: his son, Jeffrey Wayne Johnson of Hot Springs; his daughter, Sherry Darlene Johnson Barlow and Robert William Barlow of Searcy; his brother, Johnny Lee Johnson of Hope; his grandchildren, Jennifer Nicole Barlow and Trisha Breighann Barlow.

Graveside services were 2 p.m., Sunday, June 29, 2003, at Piney Grove Cemetery, Boughton Community, Nevada County, with Rev. S. Joseph Geno officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
