Lealon CampbellPublished Wednesday, July 2, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneLealon "Lela" Campbell, 93, of Hope (formerly of Emmet), died Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. She was born January 15, 1910, in Nevada County, to J.H. "Adam" and Doshie Lough Pratt. She was a homemaker and dietary aid at Prescott Manor Nursing Home for more than 12 years. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Campbell, by two brothers and one sister. Her survivors include: one son, J.E. Campbell and Joyce of Bryant; one daughter, Mildred Thrasher of Hope; one brother, Leroy Pratt of Mexia, Texas; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2003, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Rev. Glen Cannon and Rev. Kenneth Grant officiating. Burial followed in Harmony Cemetery in Sutton. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
