Josephine CarltonPublished Wednesday, June 25, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneJosephine Alice Carlton, 78, of Rosston, died Saturday, June 21, 2003, at a Texarkana Hospital. She was born January 16, 1925, in Texarkana to William and Virginia McLain. Mrs. Brown was a member of Union Baptist Church of Bodcaw. Survivors include: her husband, Harlin Exel Carlton of Rosston; two sons, Steve Carlton and wife Judy of Rosston, and Harlin H. Carlton and wife Kathy of Rosston; one brother, Russell McLain of Blevins; one sister, Ruby Johnson of Hope; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2003, at the Union Baptist Church in Bodcaw, with Bro. Joe Brown and Buddy McKamie officiating burial in the Union Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
