Maxine Cromwell

Mrs. Maxine I. Cromwell, 89, of Prescott, passed away Monday, June 16, 2003.

Mrs. Cromwell was born May 16, 1914, in Bluff City.

She was the daughter of Henry B. and Eliza (Ammons) Irvin. Maxine was the widow of Clyde R. Cromwell. Mrs. Cromwell was retired from the V.A. Hospital, where she had worked as a LPN.

Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Katherine and Dorsey Berry of Prescott, five grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Maxine was preceded in death by one brother, Eldry Johnson and four sisters, Mae Johnson, Vivian Sarrett, Ollie Otwell Mangold, and Ruth Barlow.

Services for Mrs. Cromwell were held Sunday, June 22, 2003, at 2 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene of Prescott. Officiating the service was Bro. Phillip Hull, Bro. Mike Yarborro and Bro. Jack Lowe. Burial was held at Sweet Home Cemetery under the direction of Shackleford Funeral Home.

Visitation was Saturday, June 21, 2003 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene of Prescott or Sweet Home Church of Prescott.
