Brice Stewart

Mr. Brice H. Stewart, 91, of Prescott, died Monday, June 9, 2003, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

He was born July 2, 1911, in Laneburg, (Nevada County), to Lewis and Ella Waddle Stewart.

He was a former co-owner/operator of both Stewart Furniture Co. and Stewart Butane Co. He was a member and deacon of First Presbyterian Church of Prescott. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a former member of Kiwanis and Chairman of Nevada County Republican Committee.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Kelso, Clint, Cliff, and Brad Stewart (his twin); and one sister, Katie Cross.

He is survived by: his wife of 61 years, Della Duke Stewart of Prescott; one brother, Dick Stewart of Prescott; and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2003, Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel, Prescott, with Rev. Les Patterson officiating. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Nevada County, Rosston. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Family received friends Wednesday, June 11, 2003, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home in Prescott.
