Evelyn DuncanPublished Wednesday, June 11, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneEvelyn Duncan, 84, of Arkadelphia died June 6, 2003, in Arkadelphia. She was a homemaker. She was born February 8, 1919. She was born in McClelland. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Arkadelphia. She was the son of Henry J. and Valaria Wright Kirby. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Otis Duncan, one brother, and three sisters. Survivors include: two daughters, Elsie F. Reyenga of Emmet, and Lessie M. Elkins of Arkadelphia; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services were Monday, June 9, 2003 at 10 a.m. in the Herndon Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Freeling Clowers and Marvin Pate officiating. Interment followed in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
