J.D. McMillenPublished Wednesday, June 4, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. J.D. McMillen, 78, of Hope, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, in Medical Park Hospital in Hope. He was born January 12, 1925, in Hope to George Henry and Ellen Irene Jeans McMillen. He was a retired maintenance worker of Bruner-Ivory Handle Co., of Hope. He was a member of Bodcaw #1 Baptist Church in Bodcaw. His survivors include: his wife, Mildred McMillen of Hope; one son, Kenneth Wayne and Debra McMillen of Fayetteville; two daughters, Jeri Hansen and Michael of Hot Springs and Darlene McMillen of Hope; four grandchildren, Amber McMillen and Zachary McMillen both of Fayetteville, Jesse McMillen and Katlyn McMillen both of Hope; and one great-grandchild, Micah McMillen of Hope. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2003, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope, with Rev. Ricky Burke officiating. Burial in Bodcaw #1 Cemetery, Bodcaw. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Family received friends Wednesday, May 28, 2003, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
