Lee JarvisPublished Wednesday, June 4, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Lee Jarvis, 87, of Rosston, died Saturday, May 24, 2003, in his home. He was born March 7, 1916, in Rosston, to Grover and Maggie O'Keefe Jarvis. He was a retired Captain with the Arkansas Highway Police. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Rosston, a Mason, a Navy Veteran and a member of the Seabees. He was precede in death by his wife, Ina K. Stinnett Jarvis, who died in February 2000; one son, John Jarvis; three brothers, John, Cleve, and Buddy Jarvis; and two sisters, Newell Wooten and Margaret Elmore. His survivors include: two sons, Bill Jarvis and Daisy of Bearden, and Danny Jarvis and Terry of Willisville; three brothers, Wayne Jarvis of Rosston, Fred Jarvis of Camden and Jim Jarvis of Atlanta, Texas; three sisters, Elsie Williams of Rosston, Ted Martin of Camden, and Mary Lou Smith of Camden; four grandchildren, Kyle Jarvis, Jace Jarvis, Laurie Herring and Matthew Herring; one great-granddaughter, Taylor Jarvis. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at First Baptist Church in Rosston, with Rev. Mark Faulkner and Rev. Cris May officiating. Burial followed in Rosston Cemetery in Rosston. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends Monday, May 26, 2003, from 6-8 p.m. at the Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home.
