Cabe Library offers plenty for children this summer

Sitting at home bored since school ended?

Well how about some entertainment with education in the cool air conditioning.

The Cabe Public Library has a full schedule of events to keep children entertained throughout the summer break.

Children wishing to participate in the summer reading program can register next week.

The actual programs will begin on June 17.

Each Tuesday at 10 a.m. will be story time for children between the ages of 3-7. Throughout the summer story time will have special visitors such as Mrs. Spider along with a tea party during story time. Franklin the turtle will also be visiting and Brother and Sister Bear from the Berenstein Bears will also make an appearance.

Tuesday afternoons at 2, there will be special classes for the children participating in the reading program.

Starting on June 29, the Museum of Discovery will start coming each Thursday at 10 a.m. to entertain the children and teach them interesting things about animals and their habitats.

Also making appearances at the library will be Daryl Miller a magician. On June 17, Melvin Brown another magician will be at the library.

Representatives from DeGray Sate Park have a program scheduled and the Arkansas Forestry Commission has plans for a special class about bats.
