We had some rain over the weekend, but it held off long enough Sunday for Boughton and Shady Grove Churches to each enjoy the Easter sunrise services.

Several of the Jester family and kinfolks (men only) enjoyed camping and fishing at White Cliff on Little River over the weekend.

Bennie and Delight Blount and family and Terry Glass spent Easter Sunday with May Blount.

Don and Gayle Shelton, their daughters and grandchildren, Michelle and Tammy, Mari and Nicki, spent Easter Sunday with Mildred Johnson.

Melissa Keesee, Emily and Katie and their neighbor, Maudina White, visited Mary Ann and J.D. Lucas during the week.

Denise Stubbs, Courtney and Theresa Jackson and Nick and James Stubbs spend the weekend with Cathryn Jester. Sunday Nick was honored on his third birthday with dinner and an Easter egg hunt. Other than the ones already mentioned, attending were Darlene and Breanna Young, Richey Stubbs, Debbie, Tracy and Jared Miller of Nashville and Pete, Cathryn and Jimmy Joe Jester.

Freddie Garner, Dale Orren and Leonard and Faye House visited Chloe Orren during the weekend.

Willie and I enjoyed having Billy Joe Walthall, Maybelle Brothers, Donald Kirkham, Cathryn Jester and granddaughters, Theresa, Courtney and Bennie Walthall, Herbie Ridgell and granddaughter Ashley, visit us during the week.

The annual clean up day at Piney Grove Cemetery has been set for Saturday, April 17. Bring tools to work with and get a potluck lunch. Let's make it a day of fellowship.

Hershel and Tommy Hooks are spending a few days camping here to do some turkey hunting and to see their mother, Cathrine Hooks. Kathleen Hooks and Rachel Hubbard spent the weekend with her mother, Cathrine, and Mae Blount.

Everett and Mary Orren returned Sunday night from visiting their daughter, Linda Brooks, and her husband, Lyle, and grandsons, Craig and Aaron, of Macon, Ga. Enroute they spent a night with Kirby Orren and wife, Rita, of Napaleonville, La. Rita is seriously ill.

They had brunch with Elaine Orren, Durward's wife, of Waveland, Miss. They stayed with their grandsons while Linda and Lyle made a little cruise and then had an enjoyable visit for a few days.
