Mrs. Lily Margaret Dougan Stewart, 65, of Hope, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas.

She was born July 25, 1937, in Nevada County, to Sidney Sutton and Margaret Vena McKelroy Dougan.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Dougan.

Her survivors include: Wallace Stewart of Emmet; two daughters, Sheila Tippitt and Howard, Jr. and Margaret Collums and Glenn all of Hope; three brothers, J.R. Dougan of Sun City, Arizona, Carl Dougan of Emmet, and Benny Ray Dougan of Dewey, Arizona; three sisters, Ora Avery of Hope, Helen Morris of Gurdon, and Martha Scoggins of Little Rock; six grandchildren, Amber Collums, Ashley Collums, Stephanie Cox, Justin R. Cox, Tennile Michel, and Kristen Tippitt.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2003, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Harold Freeman officiating. Burial followed in Snell Cemetery in Emmet. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Family received friends, Wednesday, May 14, 2003, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
