Elsie LewisPublished Wednesday, May 14, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneElsie Daniels Lewis, 85, of Waldo, died early Tuesday morning, May 6, 2003, at St. Michael's Hospital in Texarkana, Texas. She was born September 8, 1971. She was a homemaker, a Baptist and a loving mother and mamaw. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Richard "Tobey" Rowe of Bodcaw; two sisters-in-law, Helen Daniels of Rosston and Norris Daniels of Bodcaw; four granddaughters, Bettye Annett Cornelius of Prescott, Dawn Atkins of Mt. Home, Leah Caldwell of Fayetteville and Leslie Salzman of Maumelle; six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2003, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Rev. Billy Russell officiating with burial in Columbia Cemetery at Waldo under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Stamps. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
