Leslie SuttonPublished Wednesday, May 7, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Leslie James Sutton, 77, of Prescott, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. He was born on October 21, 1925, in El Dorado, to Leslie Carl and Alice Mildred Harriston Sutton. He was a former employee of the Gas Company and Sutton and Son Magneta Shop of Magnolia. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Prescott and a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fay Alma Loomis Sutton and by one sister, Martha Jane Tollison. Survivors include: one niece, Ann Sewell Cottrell and Larry of El Dorado; two great-nephews, Brandon Sewell and Erin of Fayetteville and Justin Scott Sewell and Summer of El Dorado; one brother-in-law, R.T. Tollison, Jr. of El Dorado. Graveside services were at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott, with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends Monday, May 5, 2003, from 6:30-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
