J.D. WilsonPublished Wednesday, May 7, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneJ. D. "Flip" Wilson, 59, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, April 28, 2003, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. A son of the late Veo and Era Swillings Wilson, he was born in Sheridan, on November 4, 1943. Mr. Wilson was reared and received his early education in Prescott. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Moving to Pine Bluff in 1972, he was an electrician for the Cotton Belt and Union Pacific Railroads. He was a member of the Oak Park Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Brooks Wilson, to whom he was married August 13, 1966, in Blevins; two daughters, Kimberly Davis of Pine Bluff and April Mills of Nashville, Tennessee; son-in-laws, Lloyd Davis of Pine Bluff and David Mills of Nashville, Tennessee; two sisters, Nora Temple of Arlington, Texas, and Brenda Hines of Camarillo, Calif.; and five grandchildren, Brooks Davis, Victoria Davis, Wilson Davis, Chad Motsinger, Kara Motsinger. Funeral services were Thursday at 4 p.m., in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son, with Reverends Gary Harper and Doyle Frasier officiating. Interment was in New Hope Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation was Wednesday, April 30, from 5-7 p.m. at Robinson's. Memorials are requested to the American Heart Association, or to Oak Park Church of the Nazarene, 2400 W. 31st, Pine Bluff, Ark. 71603.
