James Cook

James D. Cook, 58, of Pine Bluff, died April 24, 2003, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 5, 1945, in Prescott, to Eunice Milam Cook Haskins of Sherdan and the late Roy Lee Cook.

He graduated from Camden High School in 1963. He continued his education at the University of Arkansas, graduating in 1974. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy. He was an electrical engineer with the Pine Bluff Arsenal prior to his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Lee Cook in 1997.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Studdard Cook of Pine Bluff, whom he married October 12, 1968; three sons, James D'Wayne Cook of Ozark, Joseph Dwight Cook of Memphis, Tennessee and Justin Douglas Cook of Morrilton; his mother and step-father, Eunice Milam Haskins and Bill Haskins of Sheridan; two brothers, Ronnie Haskins of Mobile, Alabama and Wayne Haskins of Sheridan; two sisters, Betty Lackey of Sheridan and Anna Singletary of Hondo, Texas; and two granddaughters, Haleigh and Kayla.

Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2003, in Fair Play Cemetery in Glen Rose by Cranford Funeral Home of White Hall.

The family were at the home of Bill and Eunice Haskins, 223 West Clearwater Lake Drive, Sheridan.

Visitation was from 3-5 Sunday, April 27, at the funeral home.
