Once again, an incident of following too closely on the interstate wound up in a major drug arrest.

According to court records, Arkansas State Police Trooper Darren Neal saw a Ford Expedition within one car length of a Mitsubishi Montero with both vehicles traveling at 70 mph.

Neal stopped the Ford, driven by Chimayan Bennett, 23, of Dallas, Texas, at the 50 mile marker. He was given verbal permission to search the vehicle and found four duffel bags in the cargo area.

The bags contained approximately 300 pounds of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. Bennett was charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, with intent to deliver, given her Miranda rights and taken to the Nevada County Jail.

This is a class B felony, punishable by 5-20 years in prison and a fine not to exceed $25,000.
