DWI IIPublished Wednesday, April 7, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneA Waldo man was charged with a second offense of driving while under the influence of intoxicating alcohol and/or drugs. The arrest was made Friday, April 2 around 10:30 p.m., when deputy Martin made a traffic stop of a suspicious vehicle. Martin noticed the smell of alcohol coming from the vehicle and placed James Smith under arrest. Smith was taken in and given a breath test, failing it by registering .10, the limit considered to be intoxicated under Arkansas law. He was placed under arrest and charged with DWI II, driving on a suspended license from the first DWI and having no insurance. Smith was later released on bond.
