Ruby Reyenga

Mrs. Ruby Inez Hamric Reyenga, 91, of Benton, Louisiana, formerly of Emmet, died Thursday, March 27, 2003, in her home.

Mrs. Reyenga was born December 7, 1911 to John and Lula Arterbury Hamric.

She and her family of five lived in Emmet until moving to Benton, La., in 1954. She was employed with the Bossier Parish School Board working at the Benton High School cafeteria. She was a wonderful Christian woman who knew how to love and be supportive of the ones she loved. She will be missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Ralph Reyenga, who died in February 2002; two sons, James Ray and Ralph Windell; one sister, Alta Davis, and one grandson, Ralph Goodnight.

Survivors include one son, Curtis Dean Reyenga of Benton, La., one daughter, Melanie Sue Gayle of Shreveport, La., eight grandchildren, Joe Goodnight, Curtis Goodnight, Cathy Turner, Leslie Matthews, Matt Reyenga, Marty Reyenga, Winde Reyenga and Josh Reyenga and seven great-grandchildren, Erica Turner, Morgan Matthews, Makenzie Matthews, Mitchell Matthews, Joe Henry Goodnight II, Regan Goodnight and Valarie Goodnight.

Graveside services were held Monday, March 31, in the Snell Cemetery in Emmet, with the Rev. Don Beadle officiating. Burial was under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
