Reeda EvingtonPublished Wednesday, April 2, 2003 in the Gurdon TimesReeda Evington, 84, of Arkadelphia, formerly of Gurdon, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003. Ms. Evington was a homemaker, former member of First Baptist Church of Gurdon, where she was a faithful church worker. After leaving Gurdon she joined the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arkadelphia. She was born September 1, 1918, in Clark County to Mr. and Mrs. Isom and Mattie Brown. Survivors include one sister, Edna Jennings of Texas; a host of nieces and nephews; and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Evington. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 29, 2003, in Horne Funeral Chapel, with interment in Easley Cemetery under the direction of Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
