Jessie Moore-WellsPublished Wednesday, April 2, 2003 in the Gurdon TimesJessie Mae Moore-Wells, 94, of Gurdon, died Thursday, March 27, 2003, at Baptist Health of Arkadelphia. Mrs. Wells was born August 13, 1908, in Alabama, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.A. and Belle Gardner Moore. She was the widow of Mr. Herbert D. Wells and a charter member of Center Point Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Jo McBride and her husband Bob, of Hot Springs; one son, Bill Wells and his wife Doris, of Arkadelphia; three grandchildren, Kathy McBride of Hot Springs, Herb McBride of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mark Wells of Friendship; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 29, at Horne Funeral Chapel, Gurdon, with Rev. Charles Hargett officiating. Burial was in South Fork Cemetery.
