LeRoy HoneaPublished Wednesday, March 19, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. LeRoy Honea, 67, of Texarkana, Ark., formerly of Blevins, died Saturday, March 15, 2003, at his home. He was born on July 15, 1935, in Prescott, to William Horace and Geraldine Lively Honea. He was a barber, and an Army Veteran. He was a member of Bells Chapel Church of the Nazarene. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: one son, Erick Honea of Las Vegas, Nevada; one daughter, Lindsey Honea of Hope; three sisters, Betty Bible of Kempner, Tex., Bonnie Breshears fo Atlanta, Tex., and Ruth Bateson of Queen City, Tex., and one grandson, Christian Honea of Las Vegas, Nevada. Funeral services were 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Bell officiating. Burial was in Marlbrook Cemetery in Blevins. Arrangements under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Family received friends Monday, March 17, 2003, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
