John Woods Sr.

Mr. John Edmond Woods, Sr., 52, of Blevins, died Friday, March 14, 2003, at Saline Memorial Hospital, Benton.

He was born March 6, 1951, in Pine Bluff, to Clarence Jake Woods and Mary Wynoma Stephens Woods Billingsley.

He was a cable T.V. installer and former supervisor of Prescott Video He was a Missionary Baptist by faith.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Woods.

Survivors include: one sone, John Edmond Woods, Jr. and Rhonda of Prescott; two daughters, Sharlene Woods of Hope, and Victoria Lee Woods of Bodcaw; his mother and step-father, Mary Billingsley and Thomas Billingsley of Blevins; three brothers, Clarence Jake Woods of Blevins, Edwards Woods of Hope, and Dickie Woods of Prescott; five sisters, Nora Webber of Dickinson of Texas, Mary Ann Uptain of Brinkley, Shelia Woods of Blevins, Geneva Dalhover of Apache Junction, Ariz. and Eva Woods of Gurdon; four precious grandchildren, Alexander Woods, Nicholas Woods, and Devon Jones and Kyra Jones; his former wife and mother of his children, Vicky Woods Hicks.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2003, at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Blevins, with Rev. Ricky Burke and Rev. Edward Woods officiating. Burial followed in Union Grove Cemetery. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Family received friends Saturday, March 15, 2003, from 6-8 p.m. at the Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home.
