Alert Felts Sr.

Albert S. Felts, Sr., 79, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 26, in a Wichita Falls, Texas hospital.

Mr. Felts was born on August 3, 1923, in Prescott, to Henry Perry and Clara Clementine (White) Felts.

He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for 21 years, retiring as Chief Master Sergeant. He served in WWII as an aerial gunner receiving several honors including the Purple Heart.

After retirement, Mr. Felts worked as a care salesman for Joe Mayo of Henrietta and Brodie Buick of Wichita Falls. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Survivors include two daughters, Beverley Fairchild of Amarillo, Texas and Jackie Poirot of Paris, France; two sons, Albert Felts of Austin, Texas and Robert Felts of North Richland Hill, Texas; two brothers, Ben Felts of Shelbyville, Texas, and Paul Felts of Lansing, Michigan; and six grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at 880 Huntington Lane in Wichita Falls, Texas 76305.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2003, at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta, Texas, with Rev. Rick Allen, pastor of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, Texas, officiating. A graveside service with full military honors was at 10 a.m., Monday, March 3, 2003, in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
