Charles Callicott

Mr. Charles Lindel "High Pocket" Callicott, 77, of Caney, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at his home.

He was born on May 30, 1925, in Laneburg, to Moody and Sarah White Callicott. He was a former co-owner of Callicott and White Body Shop of Prescott.

He was also a mechanic and pulpwood contractor. He was a member of Morris Baptist Church of Caney.

Survivors include: his wife of 58 years, Inez Hicks Callicott of Caney, one son, Don S. Callicott and wife, Janice, of Caney; two daughters, Kathryne "Kay" Callicott of Texarkana, Ark., and Linda Hacker and husband, David, of Texarkana, Tex.; two brothers, Coy Callicott of Caney, and Rev. Joy R. "Pete" Callicott of Blevins; four grandsons, Cannon Callicott and Heather, Robert Callicott, Austin Hacker, and Christian Hacker; and one great-grandson, Ryan Callicott.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2003, at Morris Baptist Church in Caney, with Rev. Sam Tamburo and Rev. Donnie Dillard officiating. Burial followed in Caney Cemetery. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

In lieu of flowers: memorials may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, 2320 Bath Street, Suite 307, Santa Barbara, California 93105.
