Gurdon Chamber Banquet rescheduled to April 1BY AUTUMN PENNINGTONPublished Wednesday, March 12, 2003 in the Gurdon Times Gurdon's Chamber of Commerce had been gearing up for it's annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet. For several months the Chamber had been meeting and spending much of it's time discussing plans for the banquet. Unfortunately, sleet and freezing rain were falling the night the banquet was originally scheduled for. Anita Cabe, banquet chairman, announced the annual banquet had been reschedule for Tuesday, April 1, due to the cancellation of it's original date. The banquet is to be held at the school cafetorium starting at 7 p.m. Billy Tarpley is scheduled to speak at the event. Tarpley is a long time resident of Gurdon is sure to have an interesting speech for everyone. Tickets are available at First State Bank of Gurdon, US Bank in Gurdon, the Cabe Office and the Arkadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
