Terrence Traczewitz

Terrence A. Traczewitz, 53, of Prescott, died Thursday, February 27, 2003.

He was born on May 22, 1949, in Waycross, Georgia, to Oscar and Betty Traczewitz.

He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Waters Traczewitz; one daughter, Tara Flint and husband Mark of Lewisville, Texas; one son, Ryan Traczewitz and wife Jill of Mobile, Alabama; one grandchild, Leah Susanne Flint; parents, Oscar and Betty Traczewitz of Point Clear, Alabama; one brother, Oscar Traczewitz II and wife Pat of Savannah, Georgia; one sister, Patti Haynie and husband Ken of Mobile, Alabama.

For 29 years Terry worked as a forester for Potlatch Corporation; more recently, he was self-employed. He was actively involved in Boy Scouts of America and mentored many young men to Eagle Scout rank. He was a member, treasurer, and elder of First Presbyterian Church of Prescott. He actively volunteered at the Day Service Center and was a member of the Nevada County Cancer Association. He was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service was held at First Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Robin Nygaard officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nevada County Cancer Association, the Nevada County Day Service Center, or First Presbyterian Church of Prescott.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to friends who have given constant support and prayers.

The family received friends Saturday, March 1, 2003, from 11a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home.
