Ruth Kincaid

Ruth Marie (Cook) Kincaid, 88, died Monday, February 10, 2003, in Henryetta, Okla.

Mrs. Kincaid was born March 13, 1914, in San Saba, Tex to B.A. and Dora (McCoy) Cook.

Mrs. Kincaid had lived in Texas until 1965 when she moved to Arkansas and lived there until about six years ago. She then moved to the Welty area. She and Victor Kincaid were married on September 8, 1932, in San Sava, Texas and he later preceded her in death.

Mrs. Kincaid was a homemaker and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rosston. She enjoyed gardening.

She is also preceded in death by her parents, B.A. and Dora Cook; three sisters, Bessie Kincaid, Goldia Harkey, and Maggie Kincaid; one brother, Melvin Cook; and her daughter, Wynona V. Dillard.

She is survived by one son, Tommy L. Kincaid and wife Penny of Pasadena, Tex.; one daughter, Betty Vanderslice and husband Gerl of Welty; one sister, Maybelle Ray of Cherokee, Tex.; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Graveside services were Thursday, February 13, 2003, at 2 p.m. at the Mount Mariah Cemetery in Rosston.

Services under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Okemah, Okla. with the Rev. Mark Faulkner officiating.
