Jim Randles

Jim Henry Randles, 76, of Van Vleck, Texas, died January, 19, 2003, at Hermann Hospital in Houston.

Mr. Randles was born Aug. 8, 1926, in Louisiana, to Augustus and Ida Toney Randles.

He was an avid gardener and fisherman until a recent illness curtailed many activities.

Survivors include: wife, Mae Johnson Randles of Van Vleck, Texas; step-daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Bobby Smith of Sugar Valley, Texas, Charlotte and Gene Woodson of Midfield, Texas, and Mickey Caldwell of Clute, Texas; son, Jimmy Randles of Texas; grandchildren, Moira and Joel Gesford of Baytown, Texas, Morgan and Renee' Smith of Bay City, Texas, Whitney Woodson and Ruie Woodson of Midfield, Texas, Tiffany and Johnie Perez of Sweeny, Texas, Taylor Jones and Traci Jones of Van Vleck, Texas, Tara Jones of Clute, Texas, Sara and Rachel Caldwell of Clute, Texas; great-grandchildren, Shae, Macie, and Lani Perez of Sweeny, Texas, Randa Jones of Van Vleck, Texas, Christian and Xavier Jones of Clute, Texas, Ty Woodson of Austin, Texas, Braden Gesford of Baytown, Texas, Zachary Smith of Bay City, Texas; sister, and brother in-law, Betty and Jimmy Pete' Gunn of Mississippi, Louise Costello of Louisiana, and Liz Albritton of California; and brother, Willie Randles of Pasadena.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Billy Joe Randles.

Pallbearers will be Bobby R. Smith, Morgan Smith, Gene Woodson, Ruie Woodson, and Johnie Perez.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, January 22, at Midfield Cemetery, with Rev. Jimmy Gunn officiating.

Arrangements were with Green's Mortuary.
