Thelma MizellPublished Wednesday, February 19, 2003 in the Gurdon TimesThelma Fuller Mizell, 93, of Gurdon, died Sunday, February 9, 2003. Mrs. Mizell was born in Franchon, Mo. March 18, 1903, the last of 13 children. She was a retired legal secretary and was married to the late Alvin B. Mizell, who preceded her in death in 1971. Together they established the First Church of God on Main Street, Gurdon in the mid 1940's. Survivors include two daughters, Rebekah Bell of Gurdon, and Sue Zan Mizell of Little Rock; two sons, Richard F. Mizell of Bryant, and John D. Mizell of North Little Rock; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel.
