Tommy JohnstonPublished Wednesday, February 19, 2003 in the Gurdon TimesTommy Joe Johnston was tragically taken from us, but delivered into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 22, 2003. He was 6 years old. He was born July 8, 1996. He was met in heaven by his great-grandparents, George Tom and Maybelle Smith of Gurdon. Tommy Joe loved Matchbox cars, riding the tractor, riding his bike, riding four wheelers and competing in dirt bike races. He also loved playing baseball and attending first grade. He will be missed by his parents, Danny Joe Johnston, and Gloria Johnston of Texarkana; his grandparents Hollis and Marica Thaxton of Gurdon, and Wayne and Janice Johnston of Texarkana, his uncle and aunt, Kenny and Mary Johnston of North Little Rock, Josh, Michaela, Katie, Jesse, Beth, Ross, and Trip, BooBoo and Crystal and many other friends and relatives who were eternally touched by his outstanding courage, his ability to live life to the fullest, his sweet spirit and his forever smiling face.
