Paul StephensPublished Wednesday, February 12, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Paul LeRoy "Bunyan" Stephens, 53, of Emmet, died Friday, February 7, 2003, at his brother's home in Emmet. He was born February 11, 1949, in Pine Bluff, to Ralph Yakley and Mary Wristen Hamilton. He was a poultry worker at Hicks Farm. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Emmet. He was preceded in death by his father, his adoptive father, Randall Stephens, and by one brother and one sister. His survivors include: three daughters, Sonya Baker of Emmet, Tonya White of California, and Peggy Cox of Bluff City; his mother, Mary Hamilton of Hope; four brothers, Randall Stephens, Jr. of Lonoke, Gerry Stephens of Hope, Bobby Stephens and David Stephens both of Emmet; three sisters, Nancy Harbin of Prescott, Donna Stephens of Hope, and Sarah Emmons of California, a special friend, Clovis Hicks of Hope, three grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2003, at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Blevins with Rev. Ricky Burke and Rev. Edward Woods officiating.
