Tommy JohnstonPublished Wednesday, February 12, 2003 in the Gurdon TimesTommy Joe Johnston, 6, of Texarkana, died Wednesday, January 22, 2003. Tommy was born July 8, 1996. He loved Matchbox cars, riding the tractor, his bike, four-wheelers and competing in dirt bike races. He enjoyed playing baseball and attending first grade. Survivors include his parents, Danny Joe Johnston and Gloria Johnston of Texarkana; his grandparents, Hollis and Marcia Thaxton of Gurdon, and Wayne and Janice Johnston of Texarkana; his uncle and aunt, Kenny and Mary Johnston of North Little Rock; Josh, Michaela, Katie, Jesse, Beth, Ross, Trip,' Boo-boo,' Crystal, and many other friends and relatives whose lives he touched. Preceding him in death were his great grandparents, George Tom and Maybelle Smith of Gurdon. Memorials can be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital.
