Mary PurifoyPublished Wednesday, February 5, 2003 in the Gurdon TimesMary Maxine Purifoy, 73, of Gurdon, died Tuesday, January 28, 2003. Mrs. Purifoy was a homemaker and member of the Marietta Pentecostal Church. Survivors include two sons, Danny Purifoy and wife, Lea of Gurdon, and Terry Purifoy and wife, Janet of Gurdon; one daughter Diane Griffin and husband, Rod of Broomfield, Colo.; two brothers, Earl Smithpeters of Gurdon, and L.L. Smithpeters of Salisaw, Okla.; five grandchildren, Jennifer Gordon, Jodi Purifoy, Tara Horne, Jordan Purifoy, and Kyle Purifoy; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Horne Chapel with Rev. Dewitt Little officiating. Burial was in Southfork Cemetery under the direction of Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
