Marie McKelvyPublished Wednesday, January 22, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Marie Martin McKelvy, 95, from Prescott, died Monday, January 13, 2003, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. She was born on July 31, 1907, in Nevada County, to James Berry and Mary Frances Hardwick Martin. She was a homemaker and a mother. She was a charter member of Rocky Hill Methodist Church in Bluff City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy McKelvy. Survivors include: two sons, Freeman McKelvy of Houston, and Fletcher McKelvy and Donna of Prescott; two daughters, Sophia Marie Taylor and Bobby of Prescott and Bonita Whitecotton and Jerry of Shreveport, LA; one sister, Myrtle Knight of Monroe, LA; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services were noon, Wednesday, January 15, 2003, at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bluff City, with Rev. Ricky Burke officiating. Burial followed.
