Nancy RowePublished Wednesday, January 15, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneNancy "Major" Rowe, 73, of White Hall, died January 11, 2003, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was born May 4, 1929, in Reform. She was the daughter of the late Charles Major and Luda Jones Major. Mrs. Rowe was an instructor of Cosmetology and Beauty Operator for many years in Pine Bluff. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in White Hall. Mrs. Rowe was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Rowe; two sisters, Willie Thweatt and Glenda Haywood and two brothers, Edison Major and Don Major. She is survived by three children, Charles Blaylock of White Hall, Brenda Dice of Prescott and James Rowe of Pine Bluff; two step-sons, Keith Rowe of Hot Springs and Gary Rowe of Little Rock; one sister, Loella Brown of Benton; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton with the Rev. Bob Harper officiating. Burial was at Walnut Bottom Cemetery in Paron.
