A Christmas Day shooting is being investigated by the Clark County Sheriff's Office.

According to a release from the CCSO, the call concerning the shooting came in at approximately 5:13 p.m. over the 9-1-1 emergency telephone line.

The shooting occurred at Meeks Road near Okolona.

Clark County Sheriff Troy Tucker and deputies responded to the scene and found Pamela Post, 35, of Okolona, had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

She was transported by ambulance to Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia, and later sent to Baptist Hospital in Little rock, where she was listed in stable, but critical condition.

Investigators examining the shooting scene recovered evidence a shooting, had, in fact, occurred.

Witnesses to the shooting identified the suspect and pickup as reportedly belonging to the suspect.

The suspect, according to the release, has been identified as Harry David Post, 38, of Okolona. He is reportedly the estranged husband of the victim.

Tucker and CCSO deputies conducted a search of the immediate area without success. Deputies in Pike County assisted in the search.

Around midnight the CCSO received a phone call from a residence on Meeks Road, with the caller saying Post wanted to turn himself in.

Deputies returned to Okolona and arrested Post without incident.

Post is being held in the Clark County Detention Center pending the filing of formal charges by Prosecuting Attorney Henry Morgan.
