Daisy FlowersPublished Wednesday, December 18, 2002 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Daisy Flowers, 99, of Prescott, died Sunday, December 8, 2002, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. She was born September 17, 1903, in Waterloo, to Wash and Hattie Irvin Young. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Harrison Chapel Baptist Church of Rosston. Her survivors include: two sons, Richard Flowers and Robert Flowers both of Dallas, Texas.; six daughters, Matha McNeely of Rockford, Ill., Lula Carter of Memphis, Tenn., Evelyn Chambers and Argene Hopkins both of Dallas, Texas., Willie Mae Van Hook of Prescott, Sallie Toney of Pine Bluff; two brothers, Tilton Bailey of Prescott and Hershel Bailey of Detroit, Mich.; three grandchildren (whom she raised), Elnora Cockrell of Rockford, Ill., Shirley Johnson of Little Rock and Horace Williams of Prescott, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2002, at Harrison Chapel Baptist Church in Rosston with Rev. Willie Flowers officiating. Burial followed in Harrison Chapel Cemetery.
