Three Prescott men were arrested on drug charged by the South Central Arkansas Drug Task Force recently.

According to court records, the task force arrested Alfonzo Harris, age and address unknown, for two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, namely crack cocaine.

This is a class Y felony, carrying a punishment from 10-40 years or life in prison and a fine not to exceed $25,000.

According to records, task force officers worked with an informant, who was sent in to purchase drugs from Harris at his home.

The informant was searched for drugs, money and weapons before being given $20 to make the first buy, and $40 the second time.

Officers watched as the informant went into and returned from Harris's home.

After the informant came back after making the buy, he was again searched by the officers to make sure the crack bought was all he had in his possession.

Harris was arrested at a later date.

Next on the list was Jimmy Birdsong, who was charged with four counts of delivery of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine.

This, too, is a class Y felony, carrying a sentence of 10-40 years or life in prison and a fine not to exceed $25,000 for each count.

Task force agents again relied on an informant to make the buys, giving the person $100 on three different occasions and $50 for the fourth buy.

All four buys were made at Birdsong's home on Cale Road.

After the buys had been made, Birdsong was arrested by task force agents.

The third person arrested, according to court records, was Shontelle McKillion, also of Prescott.

He was charged with one count of delivery of a controlled substance, namely marijuana.

Task force officers, according to records, had been told by an informant crack cocaine could be bought from McKillion.

Following the procedure of searching the informant, officers gave him $20 to make the buy with. However, instead of coming back with crack cocaine, the informant returned with a plastic bag filled with a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.

This is a class C felony carrying a sentence of 4-10 years in prison and a fine up to $25,000.
